David Suchet, OBE, CBE (born on May 2, 1946), is a prominent English actor celebrated for his extensive contributions to British television. He gained widespread acclaim for his award-winning portrayal of Augustus Melmotte in the 2001 mini-drama "The Way We Live Now," which featured notable performances alongside Matthew Macfadyen and Paloma Baeza.
