John Savage
Biography
John Savage, originally named John Youngs, was born on August 25, 1949, in the United States. He is a versatile talent known for his work as an actor, producer, production manager, and composer. Over his extensive career, Savage has appeared in over 200 films and television shows, making a significant impact in the industry. He gained recognition for his role as Claude Bukowski in the iconic 1979 film Hair and further solidified his status with a major part as Steven Pushkov in the acclaimed 1978 film The Deer Hunter. Additionally, he starred in The Onion Field and showcased his theatrical skills in the Broadway production of American Buffalo.
In the 1990s, he featured in Lucio Fulci's last film, Door to Silence, and later appeared in The Thin Red Line and Star Trek: Voyager. More recently, he acted in the 2015 horror film Tales of Halloween, the 2017 film In Dubious Battle, and reprised his role in Twin Peaks. In 2018, he voiced a monologue in Steve Smith's album This Town and played The Narrator in the upcoming fantasy crime drama Karma.
