Raymond Sharkey Jr. (November 14, 1952 – June 11, 1993) was an American actor recognized for his work across stage, film, and television. One of his most prominent performances was as Vincent Vacarri in the 1980 film The Idolmaker, a role that earned him a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Musical or Comedy. In addition to his cinematic achievements, Sharkey gained fame for portraying Sonny Steelgrave in the acclaimed television series Wiseguy. His career was marked by a dynamic range of performances that showcased his talent and versatility as an actor.
