Biography
Robert Prosky, born Robert Joseph Porzuczek on December 13, 1930, was a distinguished American actor whose career spanned several decades, leaving a lasting impact on both film and television. Prosky gained prominence in the 1980s, showcasing his talent in a series of memorable supporting roles. He appeared in acclaimed films such as Thief (1981), the horror classic Christine (1983), the sports drama The Natural (1984), and the critically lauded Broadcast News (1987).
His impressive filmography continued with standout performances in Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990), Hoffa (1992), and the beloved family comedy Mrs. Doubtfire (1993). Prosky also showcased his versatility in action films like Last Action Hero (1993) and dramas such as Rudy (1993) and Dead Man Walking (1995). He rounded out his film career with roles in Miracle on 34th Street (1994) and Mad City (1997).
