James Booth, originally named David Geeves, was born on December 19, 1927, and passed away on August 11, 2005. He was an accomplished English actor known for his work in film, television, and on stage, as well as for his talents as a screenwriter. Despite his good looks that lent themselves to leading roles, Booth possessed a unique ability to embody a diverse array of characters. His on-screen presence often exuded a shifty, cunning, or erratic demeanor, which naturally drew him toward playing villainous characters and comedic roles, frequently infused with a Cockney flair. Among his most notable performances, Booth is widely recognized for portraying Vic Fielding in the popular British soap opera, Coronation Street.
