Biography
DJ Qualls, born in Manchester, Tennessee, is the youngest of five siblings. He pursued higher education at The University of London but eventually returned to his roots in Tennessee, where he began his acting journey in local theater. His talent caught the eye of renowned photographers David La Chapelle and Steve Klein, leading to modeling opportunities with prestigious brands like Prada and several high-profile advertising campaigns.
Qualls is not only known for his artistic contributions but also as a resilient cancer survivor who champions cancer research and awareness. He made his mark in Hollywood with his feature film debut in the 2000 comedy "Road Trip," which quickly became a cult classic. That same year, he appeared in the thriller "Cherry Falls," sharing the screen with stars like Jay Mohr and Brittany Murphy in a chilling narrative set in a high school plagued by mysterious murders.
His earlier work includes a significant role in the miniseries "Mama Flora's Family" (1998), based on Alex Haley's book, as well as the television film "Against The Wall." Throughout his career, Qualls has demonstrated versatility and resilience, making him a distinctive presence in both film and television.
