Leonard Rossiter (21 October 1926 – 5 October 1984) was a prominent English actor celebrated for his exceptional contributions to both television and theatre. He is perhaps best remembered for his iconic performances as Rupert Rigsby in the beloved British sitcom *Rising Damp*, which aired from 1974 to 1978, and as the titular character in *The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin*, a series that captivated audiences from 1976 to 1979.
