Biography
Nathalie Kay "Tippi" Hedren, born on January 19, 1930, is an American actress and former fashion model whose career has spanned over sixty years. She gained fame for her performances in two iconic Alfred Hitchcock films: The Birds and Marnie. In addition to her acting career, Hedren is deeply committed to animal welfare; she founded the Shambala Preserve in 1983, an 80-acre wildlife sanctuary dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating exotic animals.
Hedren is also the mother of Melanie Griffith, who received an Academy Award nomination for her work in film. The two have collaborated on several projects, including the 1990 thriller Pacific Heights. Tippi Hedren's contributions to both the film industry and animal conservation have left a lasting impact, showcasing her multifaceted talents and dedication.
