Sir David Mark Rylance Waters, born on January 18, 1960, in Ashford, Kent, England, is a distinguished English actor, director, and playwright. Rylance made history as the inaugural artistic director of Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, serving from 1995 to 2005, where he played a pivotal role in reviving the works of Shakespeare for contemporary audiences.
His film career showcases a diverse range of performances, including notable roles in "Prospero's Books" (1991), "Angels and Insects" (1995), "Institute Benjamenta" (1996), and "Intimacy" (2001).
