Robert Morse (May 18, 1931 – April 20, 2022) was a distinguished American actor and singer celebrated for his dynamic performances on stage and screen. He first captured audiences' hearts with his portrayal of J. Pierrepont Finch in the original Broadway production of "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" in 1961, a role that earned him a Tony Award. His success continued with the 1967 film adaptation of the same name, solidifying his status in the entertainment industry.

Morse further showcased his exceptional talent as Bertram Cooper in the acclaimed AMC series "Mad Men," which aired from 2007 to 2015. His portrayal of the enigmatic advertising executive was met with critical praise and contributed to the show's status as a television classic.

In addition to his Broadway accolades, Morse garnered his second Tony Award for his riveting performance as Truman Capote in the 1989 one-man play "Tru."
