Biography
Lee Ann Remick (December 14, 1935 – July 2, 1991) was a distinguished American actress, celebrated for her remarkable talent and versatility on both stage and screen. She garnered critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress for her compelling performance in the 1962 film *Days of Wine and Roses*. Her theatrical prowess was also recognized with a Tony Award nomination for Best Actress in a Play for her role in the 1966 Broadway production of *Wait Until Dark*.
Remick's cinematic journey commenced in 1957 with her debut in *A Face in the Crowd*. Throughout her career, she delivered memorable performances in a variety of significant films, including *Anatomy of a Murder* (1959), *Wild River* (1960), *The Detective* (1968), *The Omen* (1976), and *The Europeans* (1979). Her outstanding work in television earned her Golden Globe Awards for the 1973 TV movie *The Blue Knight* and for her portrayal of Lady Randolph Churchill in the acclaimed 1974 miniseries *Jennie: Lady Randolph Churchill*, which also earned her a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress.
