Biography
Kenichi Matsuyama (松山 ケンイチ, Matsuyama Ken'ichi), born on March 5, 1985, is a prominent Japanese actor celebrated for his unique approach to eccentric roles. He gained international fame for his portrayal of the enigmatic character L in the acclaimed 2006 films *Death Note* and *Death Note 2: The Last Name*, as well as in the 2008 spin-off *L: Change the World*. Additionally, Matsuyama lent his voice to the character Gelus in the animated version of *Death Note*, further solidifying his connection to the franchise.
In December 2010, Matsuyama showcased his versatility by taking on the lead role of Toru Watanabe in the film adaptation of Haruki Murakami's beloved novel *Norwegian Wood*.
