Helen Ann Richardson Khan, widely recognized simply as Helen, was born on October 22, 1939. This Indian actress and dancer, of Anglo-Indian and Burmese heritage, has made an indelible mark on Hindi cinema over her remarkable 70-year career. With appearances in more than 1,000 films, she became renowned as one of the leading nautch and cabaret dancers during her prime.

Helen's talents were not only celebrated in India but also acknowledged with prestigious accolades, including two Filmfare Awards and the Padma Shri, bestowed by the Government of India in recognition of her contributions to the arts.
