Lester Alvin Burnett, widely recognized as Smiley Burnette, was born on March 18, 1911, and passed away on February 16, 1967. He gained fame as a beloved American country music artist and a humorous actor, particularly noted for his roles in Western films, radio shows, and television. Throughout his career, he frequently appeared as the sidekick to legendary cowboy star Gene Autry, as well as other popular B-movie cowboys.
