Rufus Sewell
Biography
Rufus Frederik Sewell, born on October 29, 1967, is a distinguished English actor known for his diverse roles across film, television, and stage. His film credits include notable works such as The Woodlanders, Dangerous Beauty, Dark City, A Knight's Tale, The Illusionist, Tristan and Isolde, and Martha, Meet Frank, Daniel and Laurence. On the small screen, Sewell gained recognition for his performance in the mini-series The Pillars of the Earth, released in 2010. He portrayed the character Will Ladislaw in the BBC's adaptation of George Eliot's classic novel Middlemarch, showcasing his range as a dramatic actor. In 2003, he took on the lead role in the historical drama Charles II: The Power and The Passion. He also starred in the CBS series Eleventh Hour, which aired until its cancellation in April 2009.
