Brian Kerwin, born on October 25, 1949, in Chicago, Illinois, is a distinguished American actor recognized for his versatile performances across theatre, film, and television. He received the Theatre World Award in 1988 for his role in the off-Broadway production of "Emily," marking the beginning of a notable stage career. Kerwin has showcased his talent on Broadway with memorable performances in the 1997 revival of "The Little Foxes" and Elaine May's comedy "After the Night and the Music" in 2005. That same year, he captivated audiences in Edward Albee's "The Goat or Who is Sylvia?" at the Mark Taper Forum and earned acclaim for his portrayal of Nick in Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" alongside Glenda Jackson and John Lithgow. His recent stage work includes the Pulitzer Prize-winning play "August: Osage County."

In film, Kerwin has appeared in a variety of notable movies, including "Murphy's Romance," "27 Dresses," and "Torch Song Trilogy," showcasing his range in both dramatic and comedic roles.
