Sondra Locke (May 28, 1947 - November 3, 2018) was a multifaceted American talent known for her work as an actress, singer, and film director. She burst onto the cinematic scene with her impressive debut in The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter (1968), a performance that earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress. Locke's career flourished in the 1970s and early 1980s, during which she collaborated with her then-partner Clint Eastwood on six notable films. Their journey together began with The Outlaw Josey Wales and culminated in the fourth installment of the Dirty Harry series, Sudden Impact, where Locke took on the challenging role of a vengeful serial killer dealing with the trauma of past abuse.
