Kathryn Walker, born on January 9, 1943, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is a distinguished American actress known for her work across theater, television, and film. She enjoyed a long-term relationship with Douglas Kenney, a prominent writer and co-founder of the National Lampoon, until his untimely passing in 1980. Following this, Walker was married to renowned singer-songwriter James Taylor from 1985 until their divorce in 1995.

A graduate of Wells College in Aurora, New York, where she was honored as a Phi Beta Kappa, Walker's academic pursuits also included being a Fulbright Scholar, focusing on music and drama. Her artistic talents extend beyond acting; in 2008, she made her mark as an author with the release of her novel, "A Stopover in Venice," published by Knopf.
