Robert Clohessy
Biography
Robert Clohessy, born on June 10, 1958, is a talented American actor best recognized for his role as Correctional Officer Sean Murphy in the acclaimed HBO drama Oz. Throughout his career, he has made notable appearances in several television series, including a significant role in the final season of the landmark police drama Hill Street Blues.
Clohessy's extensive television work includes recurring parts in the ABC soap operas All My Children and Guiding Light, as well as a role in the short-lived Fox series New Amsterdam. He also appeared in the film Across the Universe, portraying Jude's estranged father. His talent for bringing characters to life is further highlighted by his performance in Laurie Hill, a series featuring a then-emerging Ellen DeGeneres.
