Biography
Emily Kathleen Anne Mortimer, born on October 6, 1971, is a talented British actress and filmmaker whose career spans both film and television. With a robust foundation in theater, Mortimer transitioned to the screen, earning acclaim for her diverse performances. Her role in the film *Lovely and Amazing* (2003) garnered her an Independent Spirit Award, marking a significant milestone in her career.
She gained further recognition for her portrayal of Mackenzie McHale in HBO's critically acclaimed series *The Newsroom* (2012–2014).
