Laura Harris
Biography
Laura Harris hails from Metro Vancouver, British Columbia, where she embarked on her acting journey at the tender age of five, lending her voice to CBC Radio dramas and animated series. Educated at the prestigious Crofton House School, she later relocated to Los Angeles, where she pursued college correspondence courses in psychology. By her teenage years, Laura transitioned from television to feature films, marking her presence in the industry.
She is perhaps most recognized for her memorable roles as Marybeth Louise Hutchinson in *The Faculty*, Daisy Adair in the Showtime series *Dead Like Me*, and Marie Warner in Season 2 of *24*.
In 2010, Laura chose to shift her focus from acting to education, enrolling at UC Berkeley. During her time there, she developed a passion for activism and community improvement. In 2013, she joined a tech company dedicated to enhancing local communities both politically and socially.
After a six-year break from the screen, Laura made her return in 2021, taking on the character Willow Ward in the Netflix series *Scaredy Cats*, where she appeared in three episodes. Additionally, that same year, she featured in the Lifetime Channel movie *Gone Mom*, marking her gradual re-entry into the acting world.
